Koottuveshangal ( Coactors ) - Award winning Music Video based on Ravine Priyatharam

The song belongs to a genre called "Padam", which is deployed for traditional dance forms like Mohinattam and Kathakali. In which the lady pines for her beloved anxiously, she recalls the blissful times they had spent together. The lady's message of love is shared with her maid-in-waiting or "Sakhi" (lady friend). The lyrical love song 'Ravine', playing the background, is laced with subtle strokes of Vipralambha Sringaram, melodiously touching upon the pain of a lover's separation from her beloved one. A flashback in the film takes us to the beginning at the Kalari, training school, where they are provided rigorous training. In addition to getting their bodies toned to sustain the physical challenges of this dance-drama form, to their first act together as lovers, to when they grow up and enact the erotic rasa on stage. The short film provides a unique perspective here: where the lyrics become the backdrop to picturise the evolution of a Kathakali artist, the unspoken chemistry that transpires on stage when the on-stage performances by two master artistes blend into their lives - and the sullen silence when they part. The actor-duo sail through life and death, even as art and reality; fact and fiction; plus their myths which transform each night into a magical thought. And, as all of us know, a thought is as vivid as an act, for a true lover. രാവിനെ  പ്രിയതരമാക്കിയതെന്തിനു* *രാധികേ രാഗലോലേ...* Why did you make my night so endearing (the heroine is infact asking her lover, who is not in the scene, and then turning to the Sakhi) Radhike, my friend (Sakhi), one who is as soft as a raaga *മാരുത കരവിരുതു വിടർത്തും*  *ബന്ധുരമൊരു പൂവുടൽ പോലെ..* Like the body of a  flower bud, that blossoms due to the playful handiwork of wind ( Bandhura - entrapped - the flower is entrapped in its own body, before the wind through its caressing opens it up)  *മാമരനൂൽച്ചില്ലകൾ ദൂരെ* നിലാവു കുടിച്ചാടി രമിയ്ക്കും.... The thread-like, thin branches of the (big) tree in the distance dancing, as if intoxicated by drinking the radiance of the moonlight The rain-veena is sobbing .* (Indicating the music of rain is also tearful) മതിലേഖ മറയുന്നൂ... The moon is fading *നോവേറു പാടും മനം...* My mind is expressing the angst *മനതാപം വളരുന്നൂ..* The heat of separation is growing *സ്വരരാഗമിടറുന്നൂ...* My voice ( my singing) is cracking *വിരഹാദ്രമായ് രാപ്പകൽ..* The days and nights are dense with pathos of separation *പൂത്തുലഞ്ഞ മധുരിതമോഹം* My desires were blossoming  *അസുലഭലയ രതിസുഖസാരം* In a rare rhythm of lust മലയജമണമൊഴുകിയ രജനിയിൽ ln that night, where the fragrance of sandalwood flowed തനു തഴുകിയൊരനഘ നിമിഷരുചി Taste of that ecstatic moment, when he caressed my body മിഴിനീരു പൊഴിയുന്നൂ Tears are raining down മൊഴി തേടിയലയുന്നൂ | am searching for words .. My chest is brimming with love (Like water level rising in a dam, waiting for the release) When will I see (him) again സുന്ദരാംഗമടിമുടിതഴുകി He caressed my beautiful body, from head to toe കരവിരലുകൾകൊങ്ക തലോടി The fingers  stroking my breasts My body, like the Taanpura, the string like veins getting tightened ദ്രുതഗതികളിലധര മധുരജതി* The lips letting out sweet words, in the quickening of breath രാവിനെ പ്രിയതരമാക്കിയതെന്തിനു* രാധികേ രാഗലോലേ....
